VERONIKA SZTOPA (TRIBE): Veronika is thrilled to be returning to the stage after a very long hiatus to be a part of HAIR with Fighting Chance Productions! Her past theatre credits include Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors, Antigone, Ten Little Indians, The Sound of Music (TUTS), Annie (Gateway), and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Ford Centre). Her past film and television credits include Gretchen in RV and Emily Todd in You, Me, and the Kids. Thanks so much to her family and friends for all their support and love, without whom none of this would be possible. Let the sun shine in!

ARIELLE TULIAO (DIONNE): Arielle is absolutely ecstatic to have the opportunity to play Dionne in FCP’s Hair! The New Westminster native always knew she was meant to be performing, having the opportunity to play Rusty in Footloose and Robin in Godspell. A recent graduate of Vancouver Film School’s Acting for Film and Television program, Hair marks Arielle’s professional stage debut. Aside from acting, she spends the majority of her spare time singing and songwriting. Arielle would like to thank her family and friends for all their love and support, and she hopes you enjoy the show!

JENNY MOASE (SHEILA): Working back to back with Fighting Chance Productions, Jenny is simply ecstatic about being a part of Hair. Jenny is a graduate of Musical Theatre at Capilano University and recently had the pleasure of spending a summer in Barkerville. Some of her favourite credits include Ensemble in The Wedding Singer (FCP), Alice in Thoroughly Modern Millie (Gateway Theatre), Jenny in The Threepenny Opera (Exit 22), Fairy in the Mirror in The Ash Girl (Exit 22), and Rizzo in Grease (Raven’s Cry Theatre). Jenny would like to thank everyone who made this wonderful opportunity possible. Peace and love.

MICHAEL BROCK (CLAUDE): Michael’s been acting on stage and screen since he was 5 years old. Predominantly a film actor, he has recently rekindled his love for the stage. Coming fresh off FCP’s The Wedding Singer, he couldn’t be more excited to be playing ‘Claude’ in Hair. When Michael’s not on stage he is actively auditioning and working as an actor in the city, playing music, and enjoying life. Michael would like to thank his family and friends, and give a big shout out to Fernie, BC, his hometown, for bringing out the hippie in him. Peace and love.

MAX FRIESEN (TRIBE): Max Friesen is the by-product when an infinite amount of awesome collides with seven tones of manliness. This is his first time being part of a Fighting Chance Production and he is absolutely ecstatic to have the opportunity to perform in one of the most controversial plays of all time. In his spare time Max enjoys playing drums, watching live music and performing in the Vancouver bar scene with his metal band 13^th Prophet. PEACE NOW FREEDOM NOW!

ROBYN LEIGH JOHNSON (TRIBE): Robyn was eight when she first discovered the original Broadway cast recording of HAIR on vinyl. Before she could even understand the show’s political and sexual overtones, she fell in love with the passion rooted in the music. HAIR is still her favorite musical and she is absolutely thrilled to be in this production. This is Robyn’s third project with Fighting C hance Productions (previously she appeared in Autobahn and the remount of Side by Side). Other local credits include: Guys and Dolls (Gateway), Fiddler on the Roof (Footlight/Vancouver Playhouse), Man of La Mancha (Pipedream) and The Laramie Project (Studio 58).

AMY JEAN MCELWAIN (TRIBE): Amy Jean is so excited to be taking part in this AMAZING piece of theatre! It is her first show with Fighting Chance Productions and she couldn’t be happier with the incredibly talented cast and crew! She is currently a Musical Theatre student at Capilano University and will be starting her third year in September. Most recently she has been seen in Medea as the Nurse (Exit 22) and My Life With Albertine (Arbutus Studio). She wants to thank her wonderful family and friends for the support. Peace and love!

RANAE MILLER (JEANIE): Ranae is ecstatic to be playing the role of Jeanie in Fighting Chance’s production of Hair. She recently completed her second year of the Musical Theatre program at Capilano University and will be returning there in the fall to complete her third and final year. Past credits include: Footloose (Exit 22), My Life with Albertine (Arbutus Studio), Pride and Prejudice (McRoberts Players) and A Year with Frog and Toad (Gateway Theatre Academy). She would like to thank her family and friends for all the love, and Fighting Chance for this wonderful opportunity.

MATT RUSSELL (TRIBE):

AUGUSTINE JUSTIN GO (TRIBE): Justin has been in love with musicals for as long as he can remember. He is proud to flip his hair and sing about love, peace, harmony, and expression for his musical theatre debut with Fighting Chance Productions. He thanks his parents, Nelson, Shirley, Alison, the Burstin’ with Broadway choir, and all of his friends for their love, support, and encouragement.

CESAR ERBA (WOOF): Cesar is ecstatic to be stretching his legs with a show like HAIR. This is Cesar’s third show with Fighting Chance Productions and it’s always an adventure coming back to perform with the little company that could. You might recognize Cesar from his recent show The Wedding Singer (FCP), or from previous shows like High School Musical 2 (URP) and RENT (FCP) from where he received a “Gypsy Male” nomination at the 2009 Ovation Awards. He would like to thank the cast for a wonderful experience, and send his love and gratitude to his parents and younger sister who have always supported him in everything. Enjoy the show everyone, and remember to always “Live, Love, and Laugh”.

ERIC ALEXANDER STEEL (TRIBE): Eric recently took a 3 year break from the life of theatre but now he’s back to make his West Coast stage debut in sunny Vancouver. A recent import from Sudbury, Ontario, Eric began his journey in theatre at the age of 12 when he played a child in a production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. This experienced left an imprint within him, and he has since went on to play such roles as The Rum Tum Tugger in CATS, Lumiere in Beauty & the Beast, and Lun Tha in The King & I. Eric is looking forward to dusting off his jazz shoes and getting back to business in FCP’s production of HAIR!

NYLA CARPENTIER (TRIBE): Nyla Carpentier was born in Ottawa, Ontario, and is of the Tahltan Nation. She is also of French and Scottish decent. Since the age of three Nyla has been involved with the performing arts through dance as a native powwow dancer. Currently she lives in Vancouver, BC and has completed her artistic training with Full Circle: First Nations Performance Training Ensemble. Her goals are to blend both her passions of dance and theatre as well as pursue a multifaceted career in the arts. Rock out, let it all hang out and enjoy the show.
