Get ready to attend the type of prom you only see in John Hughes movies!

You arrive at the prom with your fellow students and all the regulars are here: Blake Williams, the Captain of the Football Team and his on-again, off-again steady Whitley Whitaker, the head cheerleader. Louis Fenterspock, the nerd and his date Kerrie Kowalski, the spaz. A warning by Principal Richard Snelgrove to not cause any trouble tonight comes next and then you enter the prom. Get your picture taken and vote from Prom King and Queen. Who’ll get your vote? A special presentation to the head Football coach, an impromptu performance from the school musical and a very exciting mystery guest make for an exciting evening. Following the entertainment, dance with your fellow students into the wee hours of the night.

All sorts of craziness ensues and by the end of the night someone will be drunk and passed out in the middle of the floor, someone will get laid, and someone will gets a make over. Enjoy the laughter and tension of a 1989 Prom at Wannaget High with the interactive theatrical event The Awesome 80’s Prom put on by one of Vancouver’s most exciting theatre companies Fighting Chance Productions.
